How Near?
One of the prophetic Scriptures most poured over by those who hold the pre-Millennial, pre-Trib view of eschatology is the following.
Tribulation Reminders
It might be good for us to remember some Tribulation Scriptures and past events as we discuss some of the current events.
In his sermon on Pentecost, Peter referenced Joel’s message from God as saying, “And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord com
History, Curses, Lies and Retribution
When all is said and done Jerusalem will be the capital of Israel (and the world), and those that hurt the most will be those that are trying to prevent it. That is because God made a covenant to give all of the land of Canaan to Abraham and his descendants after him in their generations forever (Gen. 17:7-8).
THE NEXT WAR IN ISRAEL IS IMMINENT
Have you ever stopped to consider in this fast paced world we live in, the miracle this is the nation of Israel? Of all people on earth, the Israelites, the Jewish people have been the whipping boy for the entire world. They have been persecuted wherever they went. The Gentiles around them abused and destroyed many of the members of this race, God called Israelites, or Hebrew in the Old Testament during the time of Abraham.
The Three Questions Of Matthew 24
One of the mistakes Christians make in reading the Bible is caused by our tendency to look at everything through “Church colored glasses.” By that I mean we read it as if it all applies directly to us without regard for the context or historical background. I know Paul said everything that was written in the past was written to teach us (Romans 15:4) but that doesn’t mean it was all written to us or about us. It means we’re supposed to learn from the experiences of those who came before us. A prime example of this kind of mistake can be found in our interpretation of the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24-25). I’ll show you what I mean.
Gog-Magog at Israel’s Front Door
If you start reading Ezekiel and understand that all the people around Israel are being prophesied to being slain with the sword. In the above verses, God speaks through Ezekiel about a country called “Elam”.. Where is the land called Elam? This was the name of the land east of Mesopotamia and southwest, which is modern day Iran. Continue reading and as you come to chapter 31 and beyond, it appears to be a chronological order of disaster for all the people who surround Israel. These chapters lead up to the well-known prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39.
Does God Observe Jubilees?
Christians know that the Bible is more than a collection of stories, allegories and illustrations. We know and truly believe that “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it is profitable for doctrine” (I Tim. 3:16), etc.
Is the Oracle of Damascus Close?
That’s ancient history in an abbreviated fashion, but what about today of the city in Syria known as Damascus? What can be the reason for her eventual demise and the city not be inhabited again? Note that in this age the only thing that could make any city uninhabitable is either nuclear or chemical warfare that causes the area to be too dangerous for anyone to be in the same area.
