Concerning the high price of gasoline: on June 22, 2022, it was reported that Pres. Biden wants to suspend the federal gas tax (18 cents per gallon) for three months (between now and the mid-term elections).

Let’s examine a few of these indicators that the time is short for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Are We Coming to the End of this Age?
As we slide further into the time of the end, and the bright sunny days continue to be spiritually dark, it is common for us to look around for an indicator of how long it will be until Jesus Christ returns. We might scan the horizon for any clue to how and when the end-time prophecies will be fulfilled and Christ will return. We watch events as the world continues to churn seemingly out of control. We see many key prophecies being fulfilled and those on the verge of fulfillment.
Are We on the Verge of the Tribulation?
After two years of global turmoil, people are starting to realize we aren’t going to “return to normal.” We’ve endured a global pandemic, widespread social unrest, vaccine passports, and compounding global supply chain issues.

This is Not the End of the World
As I understand the future sequence of events, there will be the Rapture of the Church (I Thess. 4:13-18), the 7-year Tribulation Period (Dan. 9:24-27), the Second Coming of Jesus (Jn. 14:1-6; Acts 1:10-11), the 1,000-year reign of Jesus on earth (Dan. 2:35; Zech. 14:9; Matt. 25:31; Rev. 5:10; Rev. 20:1-6), Satan will be released on earth for an unspecified length of time (Rev. 20:7-8), and eventually there will be a new heaven and new earth (Psa. 102:25-26; Isa. 65:17; 66:22; Matt. 24:35; II Per. 3:13; Rev. 20:11; Rev. 21:1-2).
Rapture Sooner–or Later?
So what is the probability that the Rapture is scheduled in God’s plan for humanity in either a sooner or in a later time frame? Is there any one signal on the prophetic horizon that might give a clue to answering that question? I believe one area to look at might provide illumination.
