Those of us who believe we are charged by the Lord to be “watchers” on the wall look at the acceleration of stage-setting for prophetic fulfillment as a wondrous thing to behold. There can be no missing the reality that we are fast approaching the dénouement of the Age of Grace.
George Santayana’s aphorism, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it,” has never been more apropos than at this moment. Developments are leaping to the forefront at this late hour of the age leading to the Second Advent of Jesus Christ—developments that are mind-boggling.
This tremendous ethnic disturbance we are witnessing each day in our headlines is something we must absolutely watch closely. The powerful turbulence–the “seas and waves roaring”—constitutes yet another indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. We can say with a degree of certainty—based upon study of God’s Word and belief in the pre-Trib Rapture of Christ’s Church—that because of the burgeoning ethnic unrest, in conjunction with all of the other indicators we see interjecting themselves with growing intensity and frequency, Jesus’ shout, “Come up here!” can’t be far distant.
Many of you know I view Jesus’ words as recorded in Luke to be perhaps the most important of all prophetic teachings regarding the coming world collapse into what will quickly become the Tribulation—Daniel’s seventieth week.
Turkey is at the center of that thanksgiving future, and the nation by that name is hastily dressing—militarily—for its part in a key prophecy.
We’ve looked many times at how Satan wants to be worshiped as God. From the very beginning, in the account of his actions against God, we can see that prideful tendency that exploded into full-fledged rebellion.
