Last night I listened to a speaker from our main
office in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a great orator and
gave several important points about a new initiative the
denomination had laid out to increase baptisms and plant more
churches. Their goal was set for the year 2025. I think this
is an admirable goal, but here’s where I have a problem with
this. Over the years I’ve noticed that we’re still living like it’s
the year 1950!
If we really are, as many believe, the generation
that will see the return of Christ, then we need
to wake up to the fact that we may not have much
time left. I hear so many today say, “I hate to see
what our children or our grandchildren will have to
face when they grow up.” If our time is really this short,
then we may not even see our children grow up before Christ
returns. I had one person say at my last church that
he believed that the Lord may not return for a thousand
years!
The globalists are intent on bringing in a New
World Order by the year 2030. It has been called the Great Reset,
the Green New Deal, Build Back Better or even climate change. It’s all the same.
They’re already planning a digital currency that will soon replace our
present economic system. This plan will control every detail of our lives when it comes
into play. It will use the blockchain or something similar. It’s used now
for Bitcoin and other digital currencies. What is blockchain?
According to IBM, “Blockchain is a shared, immutable ledger that facilitates the process
of recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network. An asset can be tangible
(a house, car, cash, land) or intangible (intellectual property, patents, copyrights,
branding)” (See https://www.ibm.com/topics/what-is-blockchain).
By the midst of the Tribulation, the world leader, aka the Beast, will
use this to keep up with every human on the face of the earth. No one will be
able to buy or sell without the mark.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark
in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that
had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him
that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and
his number is Six hundred threescore and six (Rev. 13:16-18).
I think the thing that really started me thinking about all of this
was when I saw on the news that black Republican Lt. Col.
Allen West was to speak at Brown University on how he overcame racism.
He had to be escorted out of the room by university police when woke students
began screaming, ‘no justice, no peace’. Therese Purcell, President of the Young
Americans for Freedom was actually chased by the mob. She was able to escape by
hiding in the bathroom. What would have happened to her if she had been caught?
Do we see what’s going on in our country? This type
of lawless action is happening more and more at
breakneck speed across our country. Crime is rampant across all of
our major cities. Time is short, and we need to wake up. This is not 1950, it’s 2022,
and we’re at the end of the age.
One of my favorite sci-fi series is “Wayward Pines” starring
Matt Dillon and Shannyn Sossamon. It is based on a book series by Blake Crouch.
The people in Wayward Pines, Idaho, had been transported in
stasis two thousand years into the future. But the townspeople
didn’t know this and the fence or wall around the town was there to protect them
from humanoid creatures that had evolved into monsters. If these
creatures had broken through the fence and entered the town, they
would have killed everyone. Yet there was a subversive
group committed to bringing down the fence. An earlier
group, “Group A” had all been killed or committed suicide because
they couldn’t handle the truth. It was just too jarring. Only the
young people were able to accept the situation. Many Christians
today are like this. They just can’t handle the truth that the coming of Christ
is imminent. They are in denial and wish to put far off or deny
the signs that are all around us. Many have never even
heard a message about the nearness of Christ’s coming in their church.
Paul tells us, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is
high time to awake out of sleep” (Romans 13:11). It is not 1950, it is
2022, and yes, the signs are all around us.
