Daily Jot: Of fools and foolishness

There is a lot written about fools in the Bible. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” And Proverbs 1:22 asks, “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scoffers delight in their scoffing, and fools hate knowledge?” Proverbs 16:22 says, “Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.” Ecclesiastes 7:5 tells us, “It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.” The Bible is down on fools. With that as a backdrop, it is amazing how society tolerates foolishness brought on by fools. Of course, many of them are well educated, but that doesn’t make them wise.

New Russia findings reveal widespread corruption

The Washington Post, as confirmed by Fox News, reports that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid Fusion GPS for opposition research against Donald Trump. After being leaked to the news media, this false story about Trump and prostitutes cavorting in Russia was used by the ex-“president” to justify spying on Trump during the presidential campaign. This, in conjunction with the reports of the Clinton Foundation, the ex-“president,” and Russian uranium interests participating in an influence peddling scheme that resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars lining the pockets of the Clintons and their minions, is an indicator of a widespread web of corruption among Democrats.
